Friends gave us tickets to the Rockies / Red Sox game, so off we went. We shot pool across the street before game time and heard all about the local team’s soon to be Cy Young award winner. Sox fans were out in droves and often needed a stern talking to by older, wiser, and infinitely more local ushers who appeared even smarter after a bottom of the 9th walk off home run for the home team. We followed the excitement into Denver’s mile-high, open air bars into the wee hours.
On our last night, the Harris's took us to a Texas Rangers game. John drove us, all smiles as usual, in his massive and awesome truck.
After INDY 500, if felt good to go back to the ballpark. Reds vs. Cardinals in St. Louis. We could see the arch from our seats, as could everyone else from theirs.
Montgomery Inn, the original, takes such pride in Ohio, the Reds, the Bengals, Ohio State, and in its ribs. Jason’s grandfather took us and we all ordered full racks, of course.
